It occurred at the end of the fifteenth century. As the human race was emerging from medieval times. That’s when it occurred. The royal families, instead of their constant state of war, had decided to enter negations with one another in an attempt to emerge with an outcome that would appease all of the parties involved.

It all began when all of the royal houses involved, started to run out of soldiers to throw against one another’s opposing armies. The most current of wars had begun when a member of one of the royal houses had stolen a single peanut from the plate of one of the other royal houses. What had occurred after that was that all of the royal houses and their armies divided into opposing fronts. And even the act of stealing a single peanut from another’s dinner plate may seem small and insignificant, it truly acted as a catalyst for all of these other disputes to come into full fruition.

There were originally five different royal houses. They sat against one another. Five heads of the families versus another five heads. There was two additional representatives who held no invested stake in the matter who acted as negotiators.

The original dispute and the negotiations took place over time and each of the representatives said their piece. But the problem was that both sides expected the other side to submit to the other. And because of this nothing was ever resolved.

The heads of the different families spent their entire lives negotiating some sort of resolution to the conflict and because no resolution could ever be found to the initial dispute, time passed. Soon the original heads of the families had grown old and their children were growing of an age where they would take control of the families’ estates.

When the parents had reached an age where they could no longer take control of their own matters, they passed the control of the families to each successive individual. Their children, the first born of each family would take control of the negotiations and hold their parent’s seat in the negotiations.

Over each generation nothing would ever get resolved as all of the families sat in negotiations. Soon the original dispute was forgotten as new disputes took place over the course of the negotiations. Even new negotiators had to be found in an effort to try and resolve, not only the original conflict, but all of the successive conflicts after that. Things would occur throughout the negotiations where the different families would breed with one another. Sometimes interbreeding, and sometimes even inbreeding occurred.

Time passed and soon several generations had passed on. The Medieval age had come to an end and soon the industrial age was bringing about a new time and a new era. There were many new changes that were occurring throughout the world and the world all over. Different things were happening everywhere. Automobiles were replacing horse and cart, new inventions and scientific progress was replacing old methods. But still the families argued. They could not even remember what the original dispute was. Each successive generation seemed to come into a new dispute all on its own. Different families married different families, sometimes romantic relationships would occur between opposing forces. They would interbreed with one another and now most of the families were some form of mongrel mix of all of the original families.

They would make jokes about one another. Sometimes problems occurred where different families would mix with one that they shouldn’t have. Things like that would occur. But still no resolution would ever be reached. Individual members of the different families would spend their entire lives within the containment of a single room, caught up in negotiations. And when those individuals grew old, then their children would replace them. And then the children’s children, and the children’s children’s children, and so on and so forth after that. It seemed to be a never ending cycle of occurrences down the lines of generations that began with some small dispute that never seemed to get resolved.

The individuals of the different families spent their lives in that room. Never experiencing the outside world. Caught up away from the sunshine and daylight of the outside world.

Over time the families got smarter and began to learn the different roles of genetics. Soon and over time, the different families became manipulative in their actions, they would create different pairings between the different families with the idea of genetic manipulation, molding each family in its different ways to breed a composite of the different families as either a punishment or reward for certain actions or behaviours.

Over time every single family had mixed with each family and they had all forgotten what the original dispute was. But now that they had been caught up living their lives in a single room for so long, they didn’t know what the outside world was like anymore. And so they were stuck like this, each family would meet in a city, in some nameless building and negotiations would continue.

And this wouldn’t happen in a single circumstance. This was happening all over the world, everywhere. In every large corporate tower throughout the world, there were people caught up in ‘meetings’, negotiating some dispute that had been long ago been forgotten and could never be resolved. Individuals lived their entire lives like this.

In business rooms throughout the world that is what was happening. Some long ago forgotten dispute, all of the different parties involved would be there in a room, living out a successive line of generations. Manipulating one another’s genetics to control and contort each other through successive generations down the line.

It was all a confusing situation and people with no background knowledge of the situation wouldn’t be able to understand what was happening. But that was what was happening and that was the evolution of the modern business class. It started off as an argument about someone stealing a single peanut from the dinner plate of someone else. And then it evolved into this. What is now known today as the corporate class.
